Guess the Player questions

How does Guess the Aussie Rules Player work?

One AFL player, 15 guesses. You start with the era, a single fact and a free example. After 4 misses the club's city is revealed, and after 7 another exact fact arrives with the option to open the answer. Each name you submit is laid out as a full row against the answer.

What do the feedback clues mean?

The name you entered is placed first by position, season and club. The board then sets K, HB, DIS, TAK and GP against the mystery player's real senior season. A deep green cell is exact, green close, gold similar, and the arrow points toward the true answer.

Who can the answer be in Guess the Aussie Rules Player?

AFL and VFL footballers with real senior careers, across the competition's full history. Curated, so the answer is a name the game remembers rather than a handful of senior games.

When does the daily player reset?

Midnight Eastern is the changeover, which lands during the afternoon in Melbourne — so an Australian day and an American day share the same answer.

What is shown on each player card?

A real senior season: position, club and years, with the disposals, marks or goals that season posted, and honours where the record has them. No ratings are shown.
